The third installment celebrating Michigan’s chef community tells the story of the deep and respectful relationship between the chef and the Michigan farmer. Throughout production, we stepped into the lives of both chefs and farmers to better understand what farm-to-table truly means.

While Michigan farmers and their relationships with chefs are at the heart of the film, we also highlight Michigan’s Indigenous agricultural traditions through three stories: a tribal chef harvesting ingredients at Peshawbestown Gitigaan Community Farm for a Black Star Farms dinner; Anishinaabe traditions surrounding the Sugar Bush Harvest; and the planting and harvesting of corn, beans and squash–the Three Sisters–at Keep Growing Detroit.

The film also explores Detroit’s urban farms and Michigan’s farmers markets, told through the voices of many of the state’s celebrated chefs.

Your ticket includes the film’s printed program booklet.
