Child Cancer Patients to get Star Treatment at Emagine Theater in Royal Oak
July 20, 2017
Child cancer patients and their families will get the star treatment at Emagine Theater in Royal Oak on Thursday.
The Bottomless Toy Chest, a Birmingham-based charity, is hosting a special red carpet private screening of the movie “Despicable Me 3” for twenty-five children receiving treatment for cancer.
“We’ll have close to 100 people,” said Ashley Leslie, program coordinator at the charity, which gives away more than 25,000 toys each year to pediatric cancer patients. “Most of the patients are from Detroit Children’s Hospital and Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, but some from East Lansing and Ann Arbor will also be attending.”
